Horse arenas, as you will see in these photo's require work behind the scenes before the excavation, will start. The first thing that had to be done here was to remove the densely over populated trees that were in the arena, area. Then the vegitation was excavated, off the top of the soil that was to be excavated, to level out the arena. The excavated, soil was then used on the low end of the arena, to build and stabilize for the horses to be able to be trained, The excavated soil was then compacted to allow for additional stability. After the subgrade soils were prepared properly we were then able to bring in the arena surfaces of limestone crusher fines, sand, and the final top coat of rubber chips, for the hores to ride on. The surface was so soft you could lay down and go to sleep on it.
