Excavation, of new county roads, takes a lot of preperation and heavy equipment. You must first grubb all vegitation off the ground surfaces and then start cutting in the rough cut subgrade road, after getting the subgraded road excavated, you must then compact, the subgrade to stabilize it. After stabilization, you then apply base course, to the driving surfaces and once again compact that surface. All this must be done to highway spec's. The best base course to apply to any new road surface or any drive way surface is, base course made of madera limestone, it is the longest lasting and most durable. Compaction, plays a very important role in the construction and excavation, of a new road.
